Pickleball in Springdale, Utah

Pickleball is officially having a moment in Springdale—and everyone’s invited.

This spring, Springdale Parks & Recreation is launching a new, inclusive pickleball program designed to meet players where they are, whether they’re picking up a paddle for the very first time or looking for a fun, social way to keep playing. With a mix of beginner instruction and structured social play, the program emphasizes skill-building, movement, and—most importantly—community.

Pickleball is one of the fastest-growing sports in the country, but its real appeal lies in how accessible it is. The game is easy to learn, welcoming to all ages, and uniquely social. Springdale’s new program reflects that spirit, offering clear pathways for beginners to learn the basics and then transition into regular, organized play with other local players.

The program includes weekly Beginner Pickleball Classes, led by PPR-Certified Coach Robyn Chancey, as well as the Springdale Pickleball Social (SPS)—a casual, rotating ladder format that keeps games moving, partners changing, and the atmosphere friendly and fun. Together, these offerings create a simple progression: learn the game, build confidence, and stay connected through play.

Whether you’re a longtime resident, new to town, or just pickleball-curious, this program is about more than the game. It’s about getting outside, meeting people, and strengthening community—one rally at a time.
