I recently traveled to Phoenix for Desert Financial Credit Union’s Volunteer Celebration Event, held at the Electric Pickle in Tempe.

Desert Financial employees dedicated an impressive total of 17,661 hours to volunteering in 2025, and this event served as a wonderful occasion to express gratitude for their efforts. Following the awards ceremony, everyone enjoyed delicious food, refreshing drinks, and engaging social time. Each participant received a custom Desert Financial pickleball paddle, and my role was to encourage them to take it to the courts.

The excitement was palpable! Many enthusiastic individuals hit the courts and gave it their all, showcasing the vibrant spirit and energy that Desert Financial embodies.

Corporate events like this are a fantastic way to introduce people to the game, motivating them to move from the sidelines onto the courts. Pickleball is an amazing way to foster connections, build community, and have fun while getting a workout and learning the game.
